Amy Shaw Palumbo is an Attorney and Project Manager for DVS Legal, Inc. Prior to joining DVS, she served as Program Manager for the Montgomery County Family Justice Center Foundation, where she helped develop the Lawyers’ Initiative to recruit and train local attorneys to provide pro bono legal services for survivors of domestic violence.
Amy has held a number of legal positions and practiced law in a variety of areas throughout her career including corporate litigation, real estate transactions and securities enforcement. She also served as a legal advisor to the Deputy Director of Education. Amy is licensed to practice law in Maryland and the District of Columbia.
In addition to her Juris Doctor Degree, Amy has a Master of Social Work and has provided counseling services to children in area schools, to survivors of rape and domestic violence and has worked on a suicide hotline.
Amy received her Bachelor’s from the University of Notre Dame and her Juris Doctor and Master of Social Work degrees from Washington University in St. Louis. She lives in Potomac with her husband, two children and their labradoodle.
